Guidelines and formatting

for submission

We are open to submissions of all caliber, but specifically look for thought-provoking work; we want to see perspectives we've never seen before!
Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please inform us through our contact page if your work is accepted and published elsewhere
We accepted previously published work in any form, including anthologies, blogs, defunct magazines, other literary magazines so long as the publisher allows you to do so.

All written submissions should be in English, formatted as a Word document or PDF. Use a standard font (Times New Roman, Arial, or similar) and a font size of 12.
Double-space prose submissions and use single spacing for poetry.
Artwork/photography should be submitted as high-resolution images with 3:4 image size (JPEG or PNG)

For unpublished works, we acquire first serial rights. After publication, all rights revert to the author. Upon publication, we kindly request acknowledgment of The Voyagess Art and Literary Journal as the original publisher.
- We also retain the right to archive your work in perpetuity on our website or other digital platforms associated with the journal. All other rights remain with the author.
For previously published works, we acquire non-exclusive reprint rights, which allows us to republish the work in our literary journal (print and/or online).
- It is the author’s responsibility to confirm that republishing the work does not violate the terms of the original publication agreement.
- We also request the right to archive the work in perpetuity on our website or other digital platforms associated with the journal. All other rights remain with the author.
We ask that you acknowledge our journal as the reprint venue in any subsequent publications of the work.

We aim to respond to all submissions within the two weeks of the deadline's passing.
- Note: Only accepted works will receive a response from our editorial team (due to high volume of submissions)
- Submissions chosen to be professionally produced will receive an additional email within those two weeks.
